Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Solace Tarot Guide website and app. By creating an account or using Solace, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. About Solace
Solace Tarot Guide is a digital reflection companion that offers tarot-inspired readings, journaling, and reflective prompts. It is intended for entertainment, self-reflection, and emotional support. It is not a substitute for professional advice of any kind, including medical, mental health, legal, financial, or spiritual counseling.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old to use Solace. By using the service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You may not share your account, sell access to it, or use it to impersonate another person.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or appear to be engaged in fraudulent or harmful activity.
3. Subscriptions, trials, and billing
- Solace offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid plans may begin with a trial period when advertised.
- If a trial requires a payment method, you will be charged the advertised subscription fee when the trial ends unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Subscription fees are processed through Stripe. We do not store your full payment details on our servers.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing page. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period, and refunds are provided only where required by law.
- We may change pricing with reasonable notice. Changes apply to your next billing cycle after the notice period.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Solace to:
- Harass, abuse, or harm others.
- Upload or share illegal, hateful, threatening, or sexually explicit content.
- Attempt to access another user's account or data without permission.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the app's systems or security.
- Use automated tools to abuse free trials, referrals, or other promotional offers.
5. Content and intellectual property
- You retain ownership of the journal entries, notes, and other content you create in Solace.
- You grant Solace a limited license to store, display, and process your content solely to operate the service for you.
- The app design, branding, generated artwork, code, and non-user content are owned by Solace Tarot Guide or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute them without permission.
6. Disclaimers
- Solace is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
- Readings and reflection-companion responses are generated by AI and are for reflection only. They do not predict the future and should not be used to make important life decisions.
- We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Solace Tarot Guide and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50 if you did not pay.
8. Termination
You may stop using Solace and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, and we may discontinue the service with reasonable notice.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated inside the app or by email. Continued use of Solace after changes means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in San Francisco County, California.
